Join the fastest growing association for Tribal Land Professionals in Indian Country.
NTLA is a non-profit membership organization that represents tribal land professionals. We recognize the benefits of working together on opportunities to further educate and train current land staff and future generations on how to effectively manage the complex issues involved with tribal lands and natural resources. We are dedicated to providing leadership and a unified voice on the importance of providing opportunities for all tribal land professionals to learn and share from and with one another.
Current activities include planning and managing the annual Tribal Land Staff National Conference; developing strategies to improve the way land ownership and management is handled throughout Indian Country; creating a program to award credentials to industry professionals that demonstrate competence in the field of tribal land management operations through a combination of education and work experience; and offering the Indian Land Forum website, a secure site geared specifically for tribal land professionals to share resources, discuss relevant topics and network with their peers.

“I joined NTLA because I believe that education and communication are essential tools of empowerment for Indian people and their Nations, especially where there is unity in Indian Country. Educating ourselves is a journey and helping others along that journey makes it all the more worth the toil. NTLA affords this very opportunity. For that I am thankful.” —Starlyn Tourtillott, Tribal Attorney
